The yoga instructor turned actress Anushka is paired up with Mahesh Babu for the first time in the film Mahesh Kaleja. Trivikram directed the film which is produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu and C. Kalyan. Both, male and female lead characters of the film are said to be moulded in a versatile mode. The role of Anushka in the film is of a lass from an affluent family, named 'Bangaram'. The crew of the film reveals that the rapport within the pair is picturised in such a way that the audience applause is in the bag.
